Progressive Inspection Programs
To minimize maintenance downtime, owners may opt for a progressive inspection program. Progressive inspections benefit owners whose aircraft experience high usage such as FBOs, flight schools, and corporate flight departments.
Unlike an annual or 100-hour inspection, a progressive inspection allows for more frequent but shorter inspection phases, as long as all items required by the scope of annual and/or 100-hour are inspected within the required time.
Another advantage of a Progressive Inspection Program is that all maintenance requirements that are required by post production modifications are incorporated into the inspection where a manufacturers program or traditional 100 hour/annual program may not.
